Is this another indication of imminent entry into the Japanese Market?

There are rumors that WP7 units will soon support NFC (Near Field Communication). Many Japanese models of flip-phones support this technology, similar to Sony's Felica, so is this perhaps an indication that the Nokia units, and others to be released soon by other manufacturers and Redmond are destined for this important Asian market?
